Sleep Dentistry

Obstructive sleep apnea is a term that is used in conjunction with snoring and cessation of breathing during portions of the sleep cycle. Diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea is made with the help of a sleep study, which measures respiratory distress index (RDIs), apneic hypoxic index (AHI), and percentage of the night spent snoring. We partner with regional sleep doctors to treat obstructive sleep apnea with the appropriate oral appliance. Oral appliances are the answer for people who are reluctant to try or have failed to be successful with CPAP machines.
